1. Consent comes first
Only send messages to people who have agreed to receive them. If you run a group on AnnounceMe or a program we built for you, you must:
- Collect clear permission before adding someone, and be able to show when and how it was given.
- Tell people who you are and what kind of messages to expect.
- Never add numbers bought, rented, scraped or shared from another list.
- Remove anyone who asks, by any means, to stop receiving messages. Our system honors STOP replies automatically.
2. Prohibited content
Do not use our services to send:
- Spam, or unsolicited commercial, political or bulk messages.
- Phishing, fraud, or messages that impersonate another person, company or government body.
- Requests for passwords, verification codes, card numbers or other credentials.
- Malware, or links to sites that distribute it.
- Threats, harassment, hate speech or content that encourages violence.
- Sexual content, or any content that sexualizes or endangers minors.
- Content promoting illegal drugs, including cannabis, or any illegal product or activity.
- Loan, debt-relief, gambling or get-rich-quick offers that carriers prohibit.
3. Restricted content
Messages about alcohol, firearms or tobacco, including vaping products, are restricted by US carriers. They are allowed only in custom programs that carriers have approved for that use, with age verification where required. Talk to us before you send any of these.
4. Prohibited conduct
- Do not try to get around rate limits, filters, opt-outs or carrier registration, for example by rotating numbers or altering links to avoid detection.
- Do not send commands to a vehicle, account or system you do not have the right to control.
- Do not overload our services, probe them for weaknesses outside our security reporting process, or interfere with other users.
- Do not resell or repackage a service without a written agreement with us.
5. Group admins
If you administer a group, you are responsible for what your group sends and for the consent of its members. Keep your member list current, send messages your members expect, and keep them at a reasonable frequency. Groups that draw repeated complaints may be paused while we review them.
6. Enforcement
We may remove content, pause a group or program, limit sending, or end access to protect recipients, carriers and other users. Where we can, we will tell you what happened and how to fix it. Serious or repeated violations, and anything illegal, lead to immediate removal and may be reported to carriers or authorities.
7. Reporting
If you receive a message from one of our services that breaks these rules, see report spam or email support@tabulasms.com. This policy forms part of our terms of service.
